US State Senate Passes Bill Against Caste Discrimination!

America is a superpower nation. However, it is facing some issues like attacks and discrimination. It is a big concern that America which is a land of opportunities and people from various countries and ethnicities live there for education, employment, and other requirements. The immigrant population is increasing there.

In what could be a landmark move to fight caste-baste discrimination, a US state passed a bill against discrimination. The decision is getting a wide range of appreciation from various sections. The bill was passed in the House with a big majority and if the required sign is made then the state becomes the first state in America to do so.

California State Senate passed a Bill to ban caste discrimination. It is said that the bill was passed with 34-1 votes. As per the procedure, the bill will be sent to the State Assembly and then to the Governor. Once the Governor approves it then California will create history as the first US state to do so. After a discussion in the House, the bill was passed.

Earlier we heard reports that a few communities are reportedly facing discrimination. The discrimination was reportedly present in workplaces and religious places as well. To counter this, Seattle City passed legislation that fights against caste-based discrimination in the Council.

Now it's the turn of California to do so. Once the Assembly and Governor approve, the bill becomes an act. Those who discriminate against others would be slapped with punishment and the discrimination would be rooted out from the society slowly.

The activists and organizations who are fighting against discrimination welcomed the work of the California Senate and said that such bills are the need of the hours to make the environment equal and free to everyone. They also say that other states should also come up with similar decisions as their efforts to make the nation even more better.

Earlier a few Universities took the initiative to stop the discrimination in the campuses so that the students won't have any issues and can co-exist peacefully. Now with the Councils and Senates working on this, it is a key development in this regard.
