Update: 2018-05-26 05:14 GMT
Kollywood hero Vishal is known for his no-nonsense talk and he never minces his words while criticising someone.  While speaking about the promotional press meet of his latest film 'Abhimanyudu' he has spoken on various things including the negative side of Digital India and Thoothukudi firing incident.

He said, "When the film was released in Tamil on May 11, two shows were canceled.  Some people protested against the film saying that the movie is against Aadhaar Card and Digital India.  I thank the police department because they gave protection."

"A cinema is a mix of facts and fiction. What we are going to tell you in 'Abhimanyudu' will be a shocker to many people.  We have discussed issues like "Are we ready for Digital India?  The ATM frauds, information like farmers are not given loans.. military officers don't have passports.   There is no information security because we are sharing all the information on the Facebook and we are giving access to the apps on our smartphone to our information.  The consequences of these things have been discussed in the film."

"Speaking about the Thoothukudi firing incident in Tamil Nadu, he said "The incident will be written in the history books that the democracy has been killed.  As a voter, I'm speaking about the incident on this platform.  I'm questioning the Central Government and State Government of Tamil Nadu that "Who gave the shooting order?.. There is a Christian father and a nun among the 13 people killed in the firing incident.  We are getting details that there are ten more deaths as an unaccounted information. This is killing democracy and you can't escape from answering."
