Before the general elections in Andhra Pradesh in 2019, the then Head Priest Of TTD Ramana Deekshitulu made stunning allegations that many valuables including the Pink diamond were missing. Not just that, he even said he had a few doubts about the Telugu Desam Party which was in the power then. He was removed from his post.
He took the then opposition party YSRCP's side and supported the party. After coming to power, the YCP government made him the honorary Priest and assured him that he would be given his post again. It's been three years since the alleged promise was made but nothing happened.
Based on the court orders, a Single Man Committee was formed on Rama Deekshitulu's issue. The committee finished its report and handed over it to the government and the ruling party did not make any noise about it as of now.
With his hope of getting the TTD head priest post yet again getting diluted, Ramana Deekshitulu took to Twitter to share his dissatisfaction. He asked what happened to the report and said he expected a big announcement from the Chief Minister.
In another tweet, Ramana Deekshitulu alleged that some external forces are working to impact the priests at the holy shrine. After he made the tweet, the TTD Head Priest and other priests at the temple lashed out at him and said the system is working well and there is no doubt about that.
Now the Ramana Deekshitulu issue took another big turn with the former head priest taking down his tweet on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. This development stunned everyone as no one understands what made him remove the tweet which increased the political heat in the state.
Political experts say that Ramana Deekshitulu's tweet aimed at YS Jagan Mohan Reddy might have gone to the notice of the top leaders in the ruling YSRCP and they were not impressed with that.
Not happy with the tweet he made, the leaders reportedly mounted pressure on the former head priest of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) to remove his sensational tweet on the committee report.
