After playing an Under-15 match in Pune, Sachin was stranded in the Railway Station as he was left with no money. He was 12 years old then and had gone to Pune for playing 3 matches. After getting runout when his individual score of 4, He was disappointed with himself and kept crying in the dressing room. As it started raining, the match was stalled and they had gone to movie & eat something. The Teenager was then too young to save money for expenses to return home and he don't have a penny when he reached Mumbai.
Sachin got off at Dadar station with his two big bags and had to walk till Shivaji Park. 'Had if there was a mobile, My father or mother would have transferred the required amount to my phone to help me hire a cab,' he said, at the launch of 'digibank' initiative of DBS.
