Which Indian IT Firm Has Highest Women Employees?

The Information technology wing of the Tata Group, the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) was declared as the highest women employer in the country, followed by the other Information Technology firm Infosys. A report says that TCS enjoys the highest number of women employees in the IT sector in the country.

Burgundy Private Hurun India, which released the list of 500 most valuable companies for the 2021 year said that Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has as many as 1,78,357 women employees in India which translates to over 35 percent of its total workforce. In total, TCS has a workforce of not less than 5,06,908 employees.

As per the findings of the recent report, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) saw a rise in women employees by around five percent over the past decade. In the previous decade, the TCS recorded a women employees percentage of 30 percent which had increased by five percent and rose to more than 35 percent.

Giving the reason for the growing percentage of women employees in the IT sector, the report said that the changes in Information Technology paved the way for opening gates for the employees and the women employees grabbed the opportunity with both hands.

After TCS, Infosys stood at the second place in terms of women employees in the IT sector with around 1,00,321 women employees out of 2,59,619 total employees. While Wipro is the next position with 72,000 female employees.
