Telangana Assembly Polls 2018 were like a nightmare for the Congress Party. CM Aspirants of the National Party including Jana Reddy, Revanth Reddy, DK Aruna, Ponnala and Komatireddy has conceded defeat. Congress High Command has been contemplating on sacking Uttam Kumar Reddy as the PCC Chief.
Prior to the elections, Uttam pledged that he won't enter Gandhi Bhavan if Congress doesn't comeback to power in Telangana. Still, He convened a press conference in the Party Headquarter after the defeat.
Congress High Command is in search of an alternative for Uttam Kumar Reddy. Particularly, Names of Madhu Yashki and Revanth Reddy have been considered. Madhu Yashki have bright chances among the two. Why because, The popularity of Revanth Reddy touched an all time low after his defeat in Kodangal Constituency.
On the other hand, Madhu Yashki have the experience of working as Nizamabad MP and AICC Secretary in the past. He is known for his dignified behaviour and oratory skills. In the current situation, Madhu Yashki will be the right choice to put up a spirited fight against Ruling TRS.
Change in leadership mayn't happen anytime soon. A decision could be taken by the High Command after the 2019 Lok Sabha Polls.
