Why case was not filed in Disha Case like Amnesia Pub Case: RGV!

Update: 2022-06-10 09:43 GMT
The recent Jubilee Hills gang rape case is the most debated issue in the country right now. With the victim being a minor and suspected political angle, people are talking about the case more. Recently, all the accused in the case including the minors were allowed to be taken into police custody by the court.

It has to be mentioned here that the case took a different path after BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao leaked the pictures and videos from the car. When police said the MLA's son has no connection with the case and he was given a clean chit, the BJP MLA came into the scene and leaked the videos and pictures of the accused.

However, the MLA landed in a big soup with his acts. The political parties, women activists, and even the National Women Commission are after him. They are not happy with the MLA for leaking the pictures and videos of the accused as it also reveals the identity of the victim which is not permitted by the law.

A case was filed against him by the Hyderabad Cops on the grounds of revealing the identity of the Gang-rape Survivor under section 228-A (disclosure of identity) of the Indian Penal Code(IPC).

However, the BJP MLA said that he is aware of the law and the cops are welcome to arrest him if they think he did a mistake. He also said that he will not resist and he is not leaving Hyderabad city.

Amid this, Raghunandan Rao found support in maverick director Ram Gopal Varma. In his series of tweets, RGV said that only God knows where the case investigation would go if not for Raghunandan Rao's intervention. The director said that society owes him for what he did.

RGV also asked where these so-called activists went where the accused in the Disha case were shown who were minors. He even asked why a case was not filed when the minor accused in the Disha case were shown on the media and interviews of their family members were taken.

"God knows where the Jubilee Hills rape case would have gone if @RaghunandanraoM did not raise his voice ..We as a society owe him for taking on the system , for justice to be served to that poor girl," Ram Gopal Varma tweeted.

"All those demanding to book a case of section 228a on him are completely silent after 1 question of @RaghunandanraoM ,why a case was not booked on anyone when Disha case accused minors were shown repeatedly on media and multiple interviews were taken of her family members?," he added.
