Why Dhoni was fined Rs 500?

Indian Cricket's show man Mahendra Singh Dhoni was fined Rs 500 for violating traffic rules on Tuesday.

Apparently, Dhoni went on a long drive for 3 hours on his vintage bullet BSA Gold Star DBD 34 (MHP-6518) in Ranchi on Monday. He, however, violated Motor Vehicle Act guidelines pertaining to display and use of number plate. As a result, A fine of Rs 500 has been imposed under section 122/179 of MVI act.

As per the MVI Act, Registration Number Plates have to displayed horizontally without obstructing the front and rear. However, Dhoni's bike have its registration number plate has been attached to the mudguard of the front wheel.

Ranchi's Traffic SP said Dhoni's Family has paid the fine and conveyed the Cricketer has violated the rules only due to ignorance.
