Several Andhra politicians, industrialists, investors and even former bureaucrats from Andhra Pradesh are said to be getting phone calls from Telangana CM KCR. Highly placed sources say that KCR is inviting them to join his BRS. Several former civil servants have confirmed getting phone calls from KCR.
KCR, who originally hails from the north Andhra region, has live contacts with the people there. His long years in politics too has earned him several friends in all walks of life. He is said to be in touch with industrialists who have investments in Telangana and ex-bureaucrats with links to Hyderabad. He is said to be inviting them to join the BRS. He is said to be luring them with party tickets and party positions.
Interestingly, several of those who have already joined the BRS like Ravela Kishore and T Chandrasekhar are former bureaucrats. He is said to be in touch with several other politicians, who are unhappy in their present parties. He is said to have offered them lucrative positions in the BRS.
He is said to have identified several such leaders and is said to have spoken to them. Among his key targets are those from the Kapu and the Dalit communities. He feels that these joinings will help the party in Telangana too as the state has a substantial number of migrants from Andhra Pradesh in places like Khammam, Rangareddy and Nalgonda.
