Why Key Meeting Held At Modi's Residence?

Update: 2023-06-29 14:42 GMT
The election mood has started in the country as a few states will go for elections soon. The elections will be followed by the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The elections are prestigious for the Bharatiya Janata Party this time as it wants to come to power for the third consecutive term.

The BJP has been winning election after election for the past few years. But the party faced a big blow with the recent Karnataka elections. Congress party defeated the saffron party with almost double the margin. The BJP gave all its best weapons. However, they could not save the party from a shocking defeat.

While the Karnataka elections gave a big blow to BJP, it gave a big hope to the opposition parties that they can take on the mighty BJP. The like-minded parties came under one roof for the key meeting. The parties vowed to fight the BJP which is troubling other parties.

As the first meeting was successful, we can expect a few other meetings in the coming days. Though we cannot say whether the opposition parties can defeat the BJP, we can say that they can give tough competition for it. If this is the scene, then it is a big concern for the party.

Amid this, a crucial meeting was held at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's house. The likes of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, and key others participated in the meeting which is said to have lasted for a few hours.

As per the media reports, the situation of the party in the poll-bound states and how to go for the elections were discussed. Though the BJP is in power in a few states, there is a fear of Anti-incumbency. The same happened in Karnataka. However, no party won consecutive wins in the state in recent times.

No matter what, the party lost the only southern state in which it is in power. BJP doesn't want this to happen in the other states and this was discussed during the meeting. A few troubleshooters might be brought and a few leaders might be changed for better results.
