Now it's official. Kakinada Sree Peetam's seer Swami Paripoornananda has officially joined the BJP. He has joined the party in the presence of BJP national president Amit Shah and national general secretary Ram Madhav. That the Swami joined the party in Amit Shah's house and not in the party headquarters in Delhi, shows the importance that Amit Shah and the BJP gave to the Swami. Usually, joinings happen only in the party headquarters. But, Swami joined the party in Amit Shah's house.
But, did you notice that not one prominent BJP leader in either Andhra Pradesh or the poll-bound Telangana have welcomed the Swami. Neither Dr K Laxman nor Kishan Reddy, not even N Ramachandra Rao or even NVSS Prabhakar have issued statements welcoming the Swami. NO statement has come forth from any of the party MLAs. This shows that Swami's way is paved with thorns not flowers. It is also clear that a large number of party leaders in Telangana were happy only with Swami supporting them from outside and not from inside.
Interestingly, BJP top leadership, led by Dr Laxman, will leave for Delhi today to finalise the candidates. It is likely that Amit Shah will introduce them to Swamiji at Delhi today. Meanwhile, the Swami might meet Yogi Adityanath on Friday.
