Will YS Jagan Mohan Reddy too face the Viceroy moment that late NTR faced? Will he face the same situation where his own party leaders defied him and even went on to brazenly throw footwear at him? TDP leader and former minister Devineni Uma's recent comments that 80 MLAs belonging to the YSRCP are unhappy with Jagan's style of functioning have kicked up a debate and questions are being asked whether they would rebel against him.
It may be recalled that Devineni Uma has recently said that a majority of the MLAs are not only unhappy with Jagan but also are ready to rebel against him. He said that even the leaders belonging to his community were upset with Jagan and were ready to teach a lesson to him. Even NTR faced a similar situation when many leaders who were handpicked and nurtured by NTR rebelled against him over the Lakshmiparvathi issue.
In case of Jagan, his autocratic style of functioning, inaccessibility and haphazard decision-making are annoying several YSRCP MLAs. Many MLAs feel that they have no role to play in the governance as everything is decided by Jagan himself and implemented by the village volunteers appointed by him. The local MLAs are completely bypassed in this system.
Several MLAs and even ministers are said to be unhappy with this. If Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao is to be believed, they are waiting for the right opportunity to spite at him. They feel that it is high time Jagan realizes this and takes corrective measures immediately.
