With A Spike Of 37,975 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, India's Caseload Mounted To 9,177,840

India, which witnessed the peaks of the Covid-19 virus in September managed to bring down the fresh cases in the past weeks. The fresh cases decreased even further in the past 24 hours.

According to the information provided by the Union Health Ministry, India registered less than 40,000 new pandemic cases with 37,975 infections. The new addition of cases pushes the total toll of Covid-19 infections to 91,77,840.

In a piece of good news, India registered as many as 41,024 new recoveries in a single day, which pushes the total Covid-19 related recoveries to 8,562,641. India's recovery rate rose to 93.68 percent.

The active Coronavirus count in India stood at 443,486. This translates to 4.85 percent of the total Coronavirus related infections in the country.

On the other hand, as many as 480 patients have succumbed to th novel Coronavirus in the past 24 hours, which pushes the total Covid-19 related fatalities to 1,34,218, with a mortality rate of 1.5 percent.

With 921 fresh infections in a single day, Telangana's Covid-19 caseload rose to 2,65,049. With a recovery rate of 95.28 percent, a total of 2,52,565 patients have been declared cured of the virus.

Andhra Pradesh Covid-19 caseload mounted to 8,61,092. While 8,62,213 patients have been recovered from the virus so far, the active cases stood at 14,249.

Globally, a total of 59,496,431 patients have been diagnosed with the pandemic so far. While 41,139,523 patients have been recovered so far, 1,401,521 patients succumbed to the pandemic.
