In what it could be a shocker, a woman constable rendering services at Varsha, the official residence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
"A woman constable has tested positive for Covid-19. We have hospitalised her while contact-tracing is going on," an officer said.
With this woman constable, the count of the positive cases of COVID-19 from the police department in the state reached 37. The police personnel who test positive for the virus will be given an advance of Rs 1 lakh towards the medical expenses.
