Woman in disguise tries to enter Sabarimala Temple

Since decades, Women were restricted from entering Sabarimala Temple. Even Supreme Court considered the ban as unacceptable during the hearing of a PIL moved by Indian Young Lawyers Association (IYLA). Still, The practice hasn't been ended. Kerala Government decided to conduct an opinion poll on the entry of women into the temple.

A Woman in the disguise of a man tried to enter Sabarimala Temple. However, The Security Forces identified her and denied entry into the temple premises.

Lakshmi, a native of Madhurai in Tamil Nadu, made desperate attempts for the the darshan of Lord Ayyappa. Wearing a T-Shirt & Trouser, She reached Pamba River with tonsured head at around 7 PM on Thursday. The security guards took her into custody and sent her back after questioning. Can we ever see the day when Women well allowed to worship Lord Ayyappa in Sabarimala Temple?
