YS Jagan out to rehabilitate two key leaders

Update: 2021-06-05 12:20 GMT
AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has a huge task on hands. The task is to honorably rehabilitate two important politicians from his party. Both the leaders have played a stellar role when the party was not in power and held the fort while he was in the prison. Not just that. Both the leaders have obliged YS Jagan and opted out of the 2019 elections.

The leaders are Jagan’s uncle YV Subba Reddy and former MP from Nellore Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy. Both the leaders opted out of the contest to make way for other important leaders in the 2019 elections. While Jagan had appointed Subba Reddy as the chairperson of the TTD, Rajamohan Reddy was not given any post. Even the term of the TTD chief post of YV Subba Reddy is expiring on June 22. If sources are to be believed, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is planning to bring back YV Subba Reddy into the government. He would be given a suitable post in the cabinet expansion. In the bargain, Mekapati will be made the TTD chairperson. He would be in the post for two years.

Both the leaders had stood by the party during the times of crisis. So, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy wants to suitably reward them. Mekapati’s son Gowtham Reddy is already part of Jagan’s ministry. Sources said that Jagan will soon rehabilitate them.
