YSR Congress Overpowered TDP In 2019 Elections

Update: 2019-05-24 05:19 GMT
YSR Congress Wave in the 2019 Elections crushed Telugu Desam Party to an all-time low tally, be it in the Assembly or Parliament. YS Jaganmohan Reddy powered his party to a historic victory with his determination to become the Chief Minister of AP.

By the end of counting process, YSR Congress won 151 out of 175 Assembly Seats and 22 out of 25 Parliament Seats in Andhra Pradesh. TDP, on the other hand, was restricted to 23 Assembly Seats and 3 Parliament Seats. Jana Sena Party managed to win only one Assembly Seat. Neither BJP nor Congress won a single seat.

Among TDP MP Candidates, Galla Jaydev (Guntur) won by a slight margin of 4,800 votes against YCP's Modugula Venugopal Reddy in Guntur Lok Sabha Constituency. Vijayawada Sitting MP Kesineni Nani defeated YCP Candidate PVP to retain his seat. Srikakulam Sitting MP Rammohan Naidu won against YCP's Duvvada Srinivas. All of these Sitting MPs won with a very less majority and that shows how strong YCP Wave has been in 2019 Elections. People of AP offered these three TDP MPs second chance due to their pro-active approach.
