Update: 2016-03-16 08:01 GMT
The no-confidence motion moved by YSR Congress party against AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao has fallen flat.

Within hours after the Main Opposition tabled it in the House, The No-Confidence Motion was defeated by the voice vote. While 57 YCP MLAs voted in favor of the motion, About 97 MLAs of TDP and BJP opposed it.

Even though YSR Congress issued a whip asking all of its MLAs to be present during the voting, Legislators who joined TDP recently given a miss to the Budget Session.

Jagan pointed out that No-Trust Motion should be taken up by Speaker 14 days after the notice was issued. In reply, Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu reminded him that Speaker is the supreme authority and have the power to move a motion at any time.
