Indian politics are extremely challenging in nature, but at the same time, the public is also receptive of different mindsets of leading politicians. The fact that the public does not mind, even if the politicians have multiple criminal cases filed against them is an indication of the same.
In this connection, we are hearing the latest report that has been published at the Supreme Court of India and has a lot of credibility associated with the same.
A Supreme Court report has revealed that chief ministers of 14 out of 28 states face serious criminal cases. Interestingly, it is the Telugu state chief minister who appeared to be on the top of the list
Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy tops the list with 89 cases, followed by West Bengal’s Suvendu Adhikari with 29 and Karnataka’s D K Shivakumar and Andhra Pradesh’s N Chandrababu Naidu with 19 each.
The report also said 4,192 criminal cases against sitting and former MPs and MLAs were pending trial as of July 2026.
It is an indication that criminal cases and legal proceedings are not a parameter that will decide against any Indian politician these days as public have become extremely receptive of the same.
Some of the leading politicians in the country have a large number of cases filed against them. Another point that must be noted, here is that majority of these cases are from their political movements only.
