Maharashtra Police have identified a suspect behind a series of bomb threats directed at various airlines in India. The individual, Jagdish Uki from Gondia, Nagpur, reportedly sent these threats via email, causing significant disruptions and delays for numerous flights. This alarming situation has raised concerns, especially since Uki is known to have authored a book on terrorism in the past, adding a perplexing layer to his motives.

The police investigation revealed that threatening messages were not only sent to airlines but also reached high-profile government offices, including the Prime Minister's Office and the offices of the Railway Minister and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The threats have led to heightened security measures across various institutions, as authorities scramble to ensure public safety amidst these unsettling developments.

In a particularly bizarre twist, the accused expressed a desire to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to share what he claimed was vital information about a "secret terrorist code" he had learned. This strange request was accompanied by threats aimed at Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, prompting increased security at his residence. Currently, Uki remains at large, with police deploying special teams to locate him following his previous arrest in 2021 for unrelated charges.

The frequency of fake bomb threats has surged recently, with reports indicating that over 300 planes received such threats within just 13 days. Many of these threats appear to have originated from social media platforms, prompting the Central Government to issue new guidelines aimed at regulating online content related to terrorism. As the investigation continues, authorities are emphasizing the need for vigilance and responsible behavior in public discourse surrounding such serious matters.
