The Andhra Pradesh state has been seeing intense protests from the Anganwadi workers for the past few weeks. The Anganwadi workers have been fighting for the demands and they are not showing any sign of taking a back step in fighting for the demands. The staff even gave a call to Chalo Vijayawada.
Now the Andhra Pradesh government is said to have taken a big decision. The government gave orders for sacking the workers who were not leaving the protests. Orders were given to the concerned district collectors to remove the workers.
Those who don’t go back to work will be sacked and terminated from their jobs. It is said that the orders were given after holding crucial meetings with the concerned authorities.
For the past few weeks, the protests have been going on. The talks to bring the situation under control did not see a positive outcome. Earlier the state government asked the workers to end the protest and it was even reported that ESMA might be used.
No matter what the workers did not change their minds and even intensified their efforts to protest for the demands. With this, the government went for a tough decision and ordered for the termination of the employees.
As the workers did not return to their jobs, the district collectors were ordered to send the list of workers who were not attending the work and participating in the protest. Once the list goes to the government the workers would be sacked. A new appointment order will also be issued soon as per the reports.
On the other hand, the Anganwadi workers are saying that they will continue the fight to get their rights. Now we have to wait and see what will happen next in this.
