However, it did not take much time for the happiness and joy to drain out. America increasing the amount of various fees for the applications is the reason for this.
If we compare it to old prices, the fees have increased by around 100 percent. Now the situation is such that middle-class aspirants should either take loans for the amount or lose hopes about the America dream. There is a scarcity of skilled people in the country. In particular, the scarcity is very evident in Tech companies. This made these companies look at India and China to get the employees which in turn led to the big demand for the H-1B Visas. For some time, the visas have not been granted. At last, the green signal was given for issuing the H-1B visas with the new guidelines.
In the latest development, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services(USCIS) made the whole process online. The visa aspirants should register themselves online for the process. Certain fees were also fixed for the applications. But the shocking news is that the amount was increased by 100 percent. Later the visa application should be submitted. The fee for this also increased. Despite aspirants filing applications, only a few applications will be accepted. The travel agencies say that the move might aim at stopping the aspirants from applying in the first stage itself with the price hike.
The prices fixed for various visas are as follows:
H1-B Visa: The application fee was increased to $780 from the existing $460( Fee became 64700 from the previous amount of 38,000).
H-1 B Visa registration fee is increased to 215 dollars from 10 dollars which went up to 17,800 from 800 rupees.
L-1 Visa Registration: From the existing 460 dollars the fee is increased to 1,385 dollars(1,15000 from 38,000)
EB-5 Visa: The application fee is increased to 11,160 dollars from 3,675 dollars which translates to 9 lakhs from 3 lakhs four thousand in Indian currency.
