When Free Travel For Women Will Start In Andhra Pradesh?

After putting up an unmatched performance in the elections the alliance came to power. As they say war one-sided the alliance recorded a landslide victory and won over 160 seats.As an example of the alliance’s strength YCP was washed out in many regions and even in Rayalaseema it won majority seats.

While the collective fight of the three parties is the main reason, the promises the alliance gave are also a key factor in this. Under Super Six guarantees were announced including free bus travel to women.

If we look at the current political picture, parties giving free bus promises have come to power. We have seen this in Karnataka and Telangana. As Congress won elections, it applied the same to Telangana and we have seen what happened. Congress defeated two-time winner BRS and came to power.

With the alliance coming to power the focus went on to Andhra Pradesh to see when the scheme would come into effect. It is said that the time was reportedly fixed for this. Reports say that the new scheme might get started from Dussehra if everything goes well.

While the scheme will benefit the women in the state as they can travel freely it will have a devastating impact on others. It is known that auto drivers, Taxi drivers, and others would face the heat of it. Earlier we have seen drivers expressing their anger on free travel saying their livelihood is affected.

With this, the TDP leadership is said to be working on this to see how to go ahead. Free travel will also bring down the revenue of RTC as women won't take any tickets. So an alternative should be brought.

It is said that experts' opinions are being taken on whether free travel should be restricted to a few routes and services or whether it should be implemented without any clauses. After getting clarity on this, the TDP might start the scheme.
