Do You Know These States Have Women Drinkers In Big Numbers?

As per the information Northeastern State Arunachal Pradesh has the highest percentage of drinkers in women with 33.6 percent.

Is alcohol consumption an addiction or a habit is a big doubt that many have. While some see it as an addiction others see it as a habit. Usually, there is an opinion that drinking is a man's habit. However, things have changed over time and Women also started taking alcohol.

Lifestyle change can be seen as a big reason for this. Be it at office parties or gatherings Women also take alcohol. Now interesting data has come out which says that in some states women in big numbers drink alcohol.

As per the information Northeastern State Arunachal Pradesh has the highest percentage of drinkers in women with 33.6 percent. It is said that the population of Assam is just a few lakhs and over 26 percent of women drinking is fascinating. Looking at the other states Assam is at the second place with 26.3 percent followed by Chhattisgarh(11.4 percent), Meghalaya(8.7 percent), and Sikkim.

Tripura saw a slight dip in the women drinkers. Earlier it was 9.6 percent which saw a dip of 0.8 percent.

Keeping the drinking habit within the limit is ok. If the limits exceed then it becomes a problem. This is not just for women but men too. Experts say that there is a need to put the habit under control or else it leaves a long-lasting impact on the drinker's health.

Global health body World Health Organization’s data said that per 100,000 population 38.5 deaths are caused by alcohol. This is for both men and women. The numbers recorded in India are higher than in China.

If we look at the states with the highest drinker population in men again Arunachal Pradesh is at the top with 53 percent while Telangana is at the second place with 43 percent.
