Bandi Sanjay now totally out of state politics?
It appears the BJP national leadership plan to marginalize Bandi Sanjay and remove him from the rough and tumble of Telangana politics
It appears the BJP national leadership’s plan to marginalize Bandi Sanjay and remove him from the rough and tumble of Telangana politics is completed. After removing him from the Telangana state president’s post, the party has made him the national general secretary. This means he will have to spend more time outside Telangana.
Now the party has made him the incharge for monitoring the voter enrollment drive in AP, Maharashtra, Odisha and Goa. This means, he will have to extensively tour these states and would be away from Telangana politics. He is all set to meet the party workers and leaders from Andhra Pradesh on August 21.
In addition, the party has also given him the responsibility of managing the voter enrollment in Mumbai, which has several MP seats. All these will consume a lot of time and Bandi Sanjay will have to stay away from Telangana for most part of the time. By staying away from Telangana at a crucial time when elections are round the corner, Sanjay would be cut off from the ticket distribution in the state.
Also, G Kishan Reddy, who is currently heading the party in Telangana is planning to undercut the influence of Sanjay in the state. He is said to be planning to reorganize the party team in a big way. He is planning to replace at least four district BJP presidents and bring in his supporters to key positions.
