Barrelakka breaks social media records, will she make it in the battle of ballet?

An ordinary rural belle, who tends her cows in the wild, has now become an internet sensation. This girl is now contesting the elections as an independent candidate from Kollapur constituency of undivided Mahaboobnagar district. A host of social media activists and influencers are working for her and are creating quite a buzz in the Kollapur constituency.

Sirisha aka Barrelakka shot into fame when her video while tending cows became an internet rage. An educated unemployed girl, Sirisha told about how the current BRS government has failed in fulfilling her aspirations. She was seen and heard slamming KCR and KTR for their brand of promising everything and giving nothing.

Rythu Swarajya Vedia and a host of other organisations have asked her to contest as an independent to highlight the plight of the unemployed youth. Sirisha says she decided to take the political plunge. She is pitted against former minister Jupally Krishna Rao and BRS sitting MLA Harshavardhan Reddy.

A song composed for Barrelakka too is breaking all records on the social media. Sirisha hopes to make a statement on behalf of the youth through her contest from Kollapur. Sirisha also claimed that she was threatened by the BRS to withdraw from the contest. However, she said she would not back down from contesting the elections.
