BJP Leader’s Murder: Death Punishment Slapped On 15 Members!

He was killed in his residence as he was brutally attacked.

A Bharatiya Janata Party leader was killed in God’s own country Kerala in 2021. This case created a sensation in the country. The issue even reached the Court. After around three years, the case saw a big development with the court giving the verdict. Death punishment was slapped against the accused.

Going into details, BJP leader from Kerala Ranjith Sreenivasan who was the OBC Morcha Secretary was killed in December 2011. He was killed in his residence as he was brutally attacked. The accused reached his house with weapons and killed him. He was attacked in front of his family members in the house.

The Mavelikkara Additional Sessions Court gave the verdict in the sensational case. The Court slapped the death punishment on as many as 15 people in connection with the murder case. The Court found the 15 people guilty in the case and slapped the capital punishment.

As per the information, the Court said that eight of the suspects were directly involved in the murder and were given punishments on the ground. The other accused were not directly involved as they stood outside the victim’s house as a guard with weapons so that others wouldn't enter the house.

Citing the same, the Court said that the accused were involved in the case and hence slapped the death punishment against the accused.

The murder case created a sensation back then as the party leader was brutally attacked and killed in his house. PFI and SDPI members are said to be involved in this. One year after the incident, the PFI was banned in the country.
