The BJP and its ideological parent RSS have reportedly worked parallelly in the current Telangana elections. Instead of working together, they worked towards the same goal, but as parallel tracks.

As a result, the BJP has lost three important seats, which it otherwise could have won easily. Sources say that if both the groups worked in tandem, the party could have won four seats in the Hyderabad region as against the solitary seat of Goshamahal.

The RSS had reportedly decided to undertake a separate Jan Jagran campaign parallelly with the BJP. While the BJP campaigned on the party stand, the BJP campaigned on Hindutwa and nationalism plank.

As a result, the workforce was divided into two and thus ended up harming the BJP prospects in Maheshwaram, LB Nagar and Rajendra Nagar.

In all these constituencies, the BJP candidates – Sriramulu Yadav, Sama Ranga Reddy and Thokala Srinivas Reddy – have polled more than 85000 votes. The victory margins in all these three constituencies were not too high.

Had the BJP and the RSS worked together, the party could have wrested the three seats and thus increased its tally to 13 or 14 , argue insiders.

The RSS leaders reportedly feel that the two organisations should work with a common strategic objective and a common organization programme in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

This will help the Modi government win the elections in the 2024 elections. This will help the two organisations to pursue their ideological agenda, Hindutva plank and nationalist ideology.
