The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) executed a significant suicide assault targeting the Pakistani army, sparking controversy over the actual number of casualties. Islamabad reported that the attack resulted in the death of four soldiers. However, the BLA claims a much higher toll, stating that 47 soldiers lost their lives and an additional 30 were left with serious injuries, according to a publication on Balochistan Post. The internet has been flooded with videos and images showcasing the aftermath of this brutal attack, which was orchestrated on a Saturday by the Majid Brigade, a suicide squad division of the BLA originating from Turbat in Balochistan.

During this assault, a convoy consisting of seven military vehicles, including five buses, was targeted. These vehicles were en route from Karachi to the Frontier Corps Headquarters in Turbat, transporting personnel from various army departments such as MI 309, FC 117, FC SIU, FC 326 Wing, and FC 81 Wing. Among those on board were a retired army captain and a current police officer named Zohaib Mohsin. The attack led to one bus being entirely destroyed and significant damage to other vehicles, including one military vehicle that was completely demolished.

BLA spokesperson Zainad Bolach disclosed that the operation took place at 5.45 pm in the Behman area, merely 8 km from Turbat. Zainad further unveiled that the group's intelligence wing, Jirab, played a crucial role in coordinating the attack. He also identified Bahar Ali, a member of the BLA since 2017 and part of the Majid Brigade since 2022, as the individual who executed the suicide bombing. Following this event, the BLA issued a stern warning, threatening to target any local transportation businesses aiding the Pakistani army by providing vehicles. They vowed to render the highways of Balochistan perilous for both the Pakistani army and government associates. On the other hand, Pakistani defense sectors have acknowledged their limited knowledge concerning the specifics of this attack.

In light of the recent events, it's clear that the situation in Balochistan remains highly volatile, with the BLA actively seeking to undermine the Pakistani military's presence in the region. This attack not only highlights the ongoing conflict but also raises concerns about the security of military personnel and the effectiveness of intelligence operations in preempting such assaults. As the BLA continues its campaign against the Pakistani army, the region's stability hangs in the balance, with both sides seemingly prepared for further confrontation
