BRS adopts Munugode strategy for outstation voters
The ruling BRS has begun applying the ‘Munugode’ strategy for the ensuing assembly elections in Telangana.
The ruling BRS has begun applying the ‘Munugode’ strategy for the ensuing assembly elections in Telangana. In Munugode, the party organized caste and community wise get-togethers on the outskirts of the assembly constituency and BRS leaders belonging to the caste and communities in question wooed the voters. This has proved very useful for the ruling party in Munugode bypoll.
The BRS is now holding similar caste and community-wise get-togethers in several parts of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Chhattisgarh where there are significant numbers of voters from Telangana. In places like Pune, Mumbai, Parbhani, Nanded, Aurangabad, Purna, Sholapur and Jalgaon of Maharashtra and Bidar, Raichur, Hubli and Gulbarga of Karnataka, Raipur and Bilaspur of Chhattisgarh, such meetings are being held.
BRS leaders are reaching out to the expat Telugus, who live in neighbouring states. People from several constituencies in Nizamabad, Nalgonda, Adilabad, Karimnagar and Palamur have votes locally, but work in neighbouring states. The BRS has appointed one incharge for 20 voters to take care of logistics to reach their native villages for voting.
Similarly, several persons from neighbouring districts live in various parts of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Their votes are in their native villages, but they do small jobs in the twin cities. The BRS is also making efforts to prepare their lists and arrange for their transport to the polling booths.
