Can New Services Help In Reducing Rush In RTC Buses?

Thanks to the Mahalakshmi scheme, women in Telangana can travel for free in the RTC buses. As the party promised the same, it is implementing free travel. However, the scheme is showing impact in an unexpected way. The buses are seeing a big rush with women preferring them for travel.

While women are having a good time with the travel, men are facing issues with getting space. Earlier it was reported that the RTC is planning to allocate a few seats for men and special buses would be started in a few routes.

Now RTC has come up with an announcement of launching new services. RTC MD Sajjanar announced that new express services, sleeper, and seater buses would be started. The good news is that the services will be launched tomorrow.

The RTC MD added that the RTC wants to serve better the customers and hence 1050 buses would be purchased and the new buses are among the new buses. He also said that RTC will use the new buses to beat the big rush.

Now we have to see if the new buses can help in dealing with the big rush or not. It is known that free travel is available only on limited services and it is not applicable for all the services. With Express and Ac buses getting started they might come in handy in dealing with the rush in buses.

After the free travel was announced, the footfalls on the buses increased. We are seeing big crowds as well. As the new services will be started tomorrow let us wait and see if they can help in bringing down the rush in buses or not.
