Skill Scam:Petition On Chandrababu Naidu's Bail Adjourned!
At regular intervals, the government is knocking on the doors of the courts to seek directives to cancel the bail.
The alleged Skill Development scam needs no introduction. The case created a political sensation in Andhra Pradesh as former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was arrested and sent to jail. After spending around two months he was granted an interim bail followed by regular bail.
It is known that the Andhra Pradesh government has been fighting to cancel his bail. At regular intervals, the government is knocking on the doors of the courts to seek directives to cancel the bail.
Yet again the petition was adjourned. The petition filed by the state government is listed on the 26th of this month. The bench of the Supreme Court comprising Justices Bela Trivedi and Pankaj Mittal heard the petition and adjourned the petition to the 26th of this month.
Senior lawyer Sidharth Luthra who appeared in the Court sought directives to adjourn the next hearing for three weeks. He said that Harish Salve is not available hence the hearing should be adjourned.
Advocate Ranjith Kumar who represented CID in the case said that earlier too they sought time to file the counter. Saying that a counter should be filed, the counsel sought a hearing date. After hearing the arguments of both sides the hearing is adjourned to the 26th of this month.
The Skill Development Case is probed by AP CID. The case alleges that the money that was supposed to be sent to the skill training of the youths from the government’s end was diverted to shell companies. He was named in the Charge sheet and he was arrested by the CID.
