Chandrababu’s Wait To Get Relief Continues?
The Supreme Court will not take up any petitions today as the Supreme Court’s Constitutional bench led by CJI D.Y. Chandrachud.
Chandrababu Naidu faced the biggest shock that he had anticipated after the AP CID arrested him. It appears that he will not get relief in the case any time soon as he has already faced back-to-back blows. After facing a hammer blow in the High Court, his lawyers moved the Supreme Court.
However, the ongoing developments hint that Chandrababu Naidu’s wait to get relief will continue. On Saturday, his lawyers filed a petition and requested the court to take the petition on Monday. However, the Supreme Court asked the lawyers to come on Tuesday.
The Supreme Court will not take up any petitions today as the Supreme Court’s Constitutional bench led by CJI D.Y. Chandrachud. The lawyers representing the TDP boss submitted a memo requesting the bench to hear the petition.
The petition is said to have been listed for hearing tomorrow. However, there is no clarity on which bench will hear the petition and the CJI will announce the bench which will hear the petition by this evening. In a few hours, we will get clarity on this.
On the other hand, there is no clarity on the petitions of his bail and custody. It is said that the ACB Court Judge is on leave due to personal reasons and Metropolitan Sessions Judge will act as the in-charge judge of the court.
In the absence of a special judge, Chandrababu Naidu’s lawyers might seek directives to hear the petitions in this regard. The suspense on this still continues as there is no clarity on what the ion-charge judge will say.
Looking at the two incidents, it looks like Chandrababu Naidu’s wait to get relief continues and the wait to get relief is long for the former Chief Minister. Let us wait and see what happens next.
