Will KCR reduce Left parties to jokers?

This would be a complete washout the cadres of both the CPI and the CPM feel

Who is likely to emerge as the biggest jokers of the 2023 assembly elections in Telangana? The title, without doubt, will go to the two Left parties, which are fast becoming the Left-out parties of Telugu politics. They have already pledged their support to the BRS with the express aim of defeating the BJP. But the BRS has not so far given any indication of how many seats it would leave for them.

The BRS, which is eyeing a hattrick in 2019, is in no mood to oblige the Left parties. The Left parties, which have been talking of contesting at least 15 to 20 seats, are said to be aiming at three seats each. However, KCR has been keeping them guessing. As of now, he has not said a thing about leaving seats for the Left parties.

It is not clear if KCR will leave them with a seat each and get all their votes in return in both Nalgonda and Khammam, the districts where the Left still has some influence left. This would be a complete washout, the cadres of both the CPI and the CPM feel. They are angry with the party leadership for offering to support the BRS without actually getting anything worth the while in return.

KCR had extended a hand of friendship to the Left parties during the Munugode election. It was a tightly fought election and KCR wanted the support of the CPI and the CPM. Post that, he has been dangling the bait of electoral alliance, but nothing concrete came out of it. As a result, the cadres of these two parties are upset and angry with their leaders.
