The stage is set for the big elections in the form of Lok Sabha elections. The countdown for the elections has started and the parties are busy with the campaign activities and drawing winning strategies. Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, an interesting thing has come out which caught everyone's attention.

Cine glamour is evident in the elections. There are a few personalities from the entertainment industry in politics already and newcomers also joined the list now.

Kangana Ranaut: The Bollywood actress is all set to make her political debut. She was given an MP seat from Mandi seat and she is busy with the campaign. She has the image of pro-BJP and she is all set to try her luck in the upcoming elections.

Radhika Sarathkumar: Another debut in politics. She was among the top actresses in the South in the 90s and acted alongside top actors. Of late she is busy with her work in the TV space. Her husband Sarathkumer merged his party All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi (AISMK) with the BJP. Radhika was announced as the candidate from the Virudhunagar seat.

Rachna Banerjee: She is also a yesteryear actress who was a popular face in the 90s. She is a popular host. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee gave her a ticket for the polls and all eyes are on her to see what she can do.

There are already a few film personalities who won the elections and are in the race. Let us have a look at them.

Ravi Kishan: The popular Bhojpuri actor is a famous villain and acted in many films. He is an MP from the BJP. He currently represents the Gorakhpur seat and he is in the race again.

Smriti Irani: The woman Minister started her career in the TV space and later ventured into politics. She is currently serving as the Minister of Women and Child Development. Smriti Irani became the talk of the town by defeating Rahul Gandhi in Amethi.

Hema Malini: The Dream girl of Bollywood is a sitting MP from the temple city Mathura. She won two consecutive elections from the seat and wants to record a third win. She has a good image in the constituency and it would not be a big task for her.

The likes of Manoj Tiwari, Shatrughan Sinha, Locket Chatterjee, and others are serving as MPs. There are around 20 MPs from the entertainment industry.
