The capital city of Bengaluru has the image of Silicon Valley of India given its position in the IT sector. A few states have IT as the major sector. But none of them can match the dominance of Bengaluru. Its position is that big companies coming to India prefer Bengaluru.
However, the Karnataka Capital city is dealing with a tough time with a water crisis. The drought in the city is dubbed as the biggest droughts in recent times. It has become tough for the residents as far as the water supply is concerned.
Amid this, it is being said that a coastal city might be the new IT hub in Karnataka. Besides the water crisis, the growing traffic issue in Bengaluru might also have made the government take the big decision and make plans for a new IT hub.
If we have to take anything from the reports, then we might see Mangaluru as the new IT hub of Karnataka. As Mangaluru is a coastal city there would be no issues with water supply even if summer comes. We are seeing what is happening in Bengaluru in the summer.
On the other hand, Bengaluru is known for its heavy traffic. Over the past few decades, the city went through a big expansion. The population increased by many folds in the city over time. The issue is that the traffic is showing stars to the residents.
Seeing the issues faced by Bengaluru, the government is said to be looking at developing Mangaluru as the next IT hub and develop the IT sector there. IT hub is developed in a single day and it takes time to reach the fine shape.
Going by the reports Mangaluru might be developed as the new IT hub. It is said that a few Tech giants have entered the City already and started operations. In the coming days, Mangalore might be developed as the next IT Hub of the state given its importance.
