It is known that the Election schedule for Telangana was announced by the Election body the other day. This gave a lot of clarity on when the polls will be held. Not only that, but we also got to see new friendships as the Congres Party and the Communists joined hands.

As per the reports, the Communist parties expressed the willingness to support Congress. The Communists are not happy with the BRS for not extending the alliance after the Munugode polls and want to shock the party. Congress party looked like a good call and they joined hands.

The new friendship raised questions about Sharmila. Earlier, we heard many stories about Sharmila merging her party into the Congress. She met a few big leaders in the party as well. But no bid development took place. Despite no clarity on this, Congress joined hands with the Communists.

Looking at the developments, it appears like Congress is looking beyond Sharmila. There is no doubt in saying that she has a legacy as the daughter of YSR. But what percentage of votes she can bring is the question here.

It appears like the dead end for Sharmila's political path. There is no clarity on whether the Congress party is interested in merging her party or not. Big leaders like Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and Thummala Nageswara Rao already joined the Congress party. Now the communists joined hands. So the Congress party does not require Sharmila to get a boost.

On the other hand, many wonder why there are no further developments in the merger despite Sharmila meeting the bigwigs in the party like Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shiva Kumar. The discussion on this started after the meeting between them.

Looking at the possibilities behind this, many say that Sharmila might have asked for more seats than Congress's expectations. Though Sharmila has an image in the state there is no clarity on how many seats she can win if she gets some seats as part of the merger.

When the news of the merger broke out, many seniors in the party including TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy openly expressed their dissatisfaction and asked how she could interfere in the politics here. The party leadership might have had doubts about why to take risks when the seniors are not happy.
