The surgical strike carried out by India against Pakistan has a lot of prominence. It was not just an attack and the Surgical Strike was done in retaliation to the 2016 Uri attack. A movie was also made on the attack which traces the successful journey of Para (Special Forces) and the movie made on this was titled Uri: The Surgical Strike.

Surgical strike is now in the news as reports are abuzz that India did another surgical strike on Pakistan. Reports started doing rounds on the alleged surgical strike. When the reports were doing rounds, the Indian Ministry of Defence responded to the issue.

The Ministry cleared the doubts on this and said that there is no truth in the reports that a surgical strike was done and just an infiltration was spoiled. Saying that two people tried to cross the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Balakote Sector as there was thick smoke, the Ministry said that the attempt was spoiled.

The Ministry said that the presence of terrorists at the Balakote Sector who were trying to cross the LOC was detected and the surveillance measures were increased and they were stopped from doing so. A surveillance grid was set up there, the Ministry said.

"However effective fire resulted in one terrorist falling down on the ground near the LC. Additional troops were then moved into the area and search operations commenced in the afternoon after improvement of weather conditions and visibility," the Ministry said.

Seeing this a search operation was reportedly called and a few weapons were also recovered by the authorities in the region.
