As Telangana is gearing up for elections, we have been seeing some unexpected developments in the political arena. It is known that Vanama Venkateswara Rao was disqualified as an MLA by the High Court. Saying that he submitted a false affidavit to the Election Commission, his election was disqualified.

Now another such incident happened and now the BJP MLA count in Telangana has reached four. Hearing a petition, the High Court of Telangana declared BJP's DK Aruna as an MLA. As BJP already has three MLAs the count now went to four.

In the 2018 elections, BRS leader Krishna Mohan Reddy and Congress leader DK Aruna contested the Gadwal Assembly constituency. While Krishna Mohan Reddy won the election, DK Aruna stood second. Now the High Court disqualified Reddy and declared DK Aruna as the winner.

Just like Vanama's case, Krishna Mohan Reddy was also disqualified for submitting a false affidavit. Reddy is the second BRS MLA to get disqualified and rivals were announced winners.

Having declared DK Aruna as the winner, the High Court of Telangana ordered the ruling party leader to pay Rs 3 lakhs as a fine. In the amount, Rs 50,000 will be paid to Aruna. Krishna Kumar Reddy who faced a big blow with this is expected to challenge this in the Supreme Court. What happened in the case is a big shock.

It is known that a few BRS leaders are facing cases seeking their disqualification and the courts are hearing them. The courts are hearing them regularly and the courts are expected to give verdicts in the cases.
