The election fever had started in Telangana with the election commission announcing the schedule. As per the schedule, the elections will be held on the 30th of November and the results will be out in December. The election schedule cleared all the doubts on the reports of the possible early elections.

This is said to be a big blow to the ruling party as the Model Code of Conduct came into effect. Not just Telangana, the code is effective in all the poll-bound states.

As the code came into effect, no new schemes could be launched. It is said that the government reportedly wanted to start a few schemes. With the code, everything went upside down.

It is known that the Dalit Bandhu scheme was started before the Huzurabad polls and this raised severe criticism. The Forum for Good Governance had moved the Election Commission saying that teh scheme should be shopped till the elections.

Just like that, a few schemes are reported to be announced. It is said that the Cabinet was supposed to meet to discuss the same and announce a few schemes. But everything is said to have gone for a toss with the mode of conduct coming into effect. The government cannot announce any new schemes.

This can be seen as a big shock to the ruling BRS which wants to score a hatrick of wins. The party won the 2014 and 2018 elections by crushing the other parties. The ruling party now eyes a hat-trick win. No other party in the Southern recorded a third consecutive win.

The party leaders have been saying the same of late. It is known that IT Minister KTR recently unveiled NTR’s statue in Khammam. At the event, the Minister expressed confidence in the party winning the polls and KCR becoming the Chief Minister once again.
