BJP Allows Etela Rajender To Contest Two Seats?
As he wanted Etela might contest from the Gajwel seat to take on Chief Minister KCR. Besides Huzurabad, the seat he is representing
Former Minister Etela Rajender who has been saying that he is ready to face Telangana Chief Minister KCR no matter where he contests got the opportunity as he wanted to take on him. It is said that the BJP leadership not only accepted his request but also allotted him the seat he wanted. As the first phase of the candidates list is expected to be released today, it is said that Etela was given a green signal and the two seats from where he will contest will be included on the list.
Though Etela has been saying that he is ready to take on KCR, none of the BJP leaders responded to this so far. Now it is said that the leadership would confirm the seats he will contest. Reports say that the first phase of the list will have 55 candidates and the list was approved already. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Election Committee met for a meeting at the national party office in Delhi.
It is said that the likes of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, party National Chief JP Nadda, National Secretary BL Santosh, Committee members Kishan Reddy Doctor Laxman(National President BJP OBC Morcha), Party State in-charges Tarun Chugh, Sunil Bansal and Etela Rajender participated in the meeting. The Central Election Committee reportedly gave the green signal to the first list.
As he wanted Etela might contest from the Gajwel seat to take on Chief Minister KCR. Besides Huzurabad, the seat he is representing, Etela would also contest from the Gajwel seat. Bandi Sanjay, Soyam Bapu Rao, and Dharmapuri Arvind who are serving as the MPs will also swing into action.
It is said that Bandi Sanjay will contest from the Karimnagar Assembly, Soyam Bapu Rao from Boath, and Dharmapuri Arvind from Koratla(Karimnagar) for the next polls. Union Minister Kishan Reddy and Rajya Sabha member Laxman would be excluded from the list. They were asked to not run the polls as they would be busy with campaign activities. Former MP Vivek and DK Aruna might contest from Chennur and Gadwal respectively. Raghunandan Rao will contest from the Dubbaka seat once again. Though the suspension of Rajasingh was discussed there is no clarity on what decision was taken.
