Angry Former ZP chairperson Quits Telangana BJP!
Former ZP chairperson Tula Uma who is known as a strong supporter of former Minister Etela Rajender took the BRS route.
Things are not going well with the Telangana wing of Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the much-awaited general elections. The party which made tall claims about its performance in the elections is facing back-to-back blows as the leaders are leaving one after the other.
When the state was gearing up to face the much-awaited general elections, the party faced a big blow as a former chairperson left the party. She had submitted her resignation to the party leadership and she is expected to join the ruling BRS.
Former ZP chairperson Tula Uma who is known as a strong supporter of former Minister Etela Rajender took the BRS route. It was a big blow to the party. Her switching sides from BJP to BRS can be seen as a big blow and it might also impact the election result.
It is known that BJP released the list of candidates for 100 seats for the general elections. Tula Uma was first announced as the Vemulawada Assembly candidate from the party. She faced a big blow when former Maharashtra Governor Vidyasagar Rao's son Vikas replaced her.
The ex-ZP chairperson became emotional when the seat which was initially given to her was allotted to others. When the promise that was given to her was not fulfilled she decided to leave the party and did the same.
As Tula Uma left the party and is likely to join the BRS, political observers say that the fight in Huzurabad would be tight as she shifted loyalties to BRS. Many say that her image in the region and her aggressive campaign in the constituency played a role in Etela Rajender's win.
But this will not be the case in the upcoming polls. So we have to wait and see what would be the political picture in the constituency in the absence of Tula Uma in the party.
