Gannavaram: YCP Leader Looking At TDP?
Yarlagadda Venkata Rao, who has been with the YCP is said to be looking at the TDP
It is known that the Telugu Desam Party recorded the worst performance since its inception in the 2019 election by winning just 23 Assembly seats. Making the performance even worse, a few party MLAs are maintaining close proximity with the ruling YSRCP and there is also a talk that they might run the elections as ruling party leaders.
So the Telugu Desam Party wants to teach a big lesson to the MLAs who are walking with the ruling YSRCP in the upcoming elections and Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan who is representing the Gannavaram constituency is one among them.
It is said that the TDP is keeping a special focus on the seat and not leaving any stone unturned in this. Now it looks like things are going on in the way of the party as a key leader is said to be looking at the opposition party.
Yarlagadda Venkata Rao, who has been with the YCP is said to be looking at the TDP, and Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan's proximity with the party is dubbed as the reason for this.
Technically speaking, Yarlagadda contested the elections on a YCP ticket in the 2019 elections and Vamsi contested the elections on a TDP ticket. However, Yarlagadda lost the elections by a small margin. On top of this, Vamsi is walking with the YCP which made Yarlagadda angry.
Yargadda and his followers are not happy with this and severely opposed this. But nothing happened and there is also a talk that Vamsi might be the YCP candidate from the YCP polls.
As there is no clarity about his future in the party and the next polls, Yarlagadda reportedly wants to take the TDP route and if everything goes well he might be the TDP candidate from the Gannavaram seat.
