Protestors In PM's Bed To Protest, Professor To Lead Country?

As per the local media, the protestors were out of control and they stormed into the PM’s residence Gono Bhaban and vandalized the place.

The ongoing protests against the Reservation in Bangladesh had slipped out of hand despite the measures taken by the government. With no option left Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had stepped down. There has been a strong demand for her resignation in the wake of the ongoing protests.

It looks like she finally gave into the pressure and stepped down. As per the media reports she left the country in a chopper and she is believed to have headed to India. In the wake of this, the BSF gave an alert alongside the border.

As per the local media, the protestors were out of control and they stormed into the PM’s residence Gono Bhaban and vandalized the place. They reportedly stole a few items and protested by entering her room. They recorded videos of their protest. They are creating a ruckus at the PM’s official residence as per the media reports.

With the PM stepping down everyone has the doubt of who would replace her. While there is no official confirmation a name is doing rounds as a possible candidate. Media reports as abuzz that ed Bangladeshi writer Salimullah Khan might lead the country. He might be leading the interim government as per the info.

It is said that the decision was taken at a crucial meeting held with the Army chief. Earlier it was reported that the Military might take over the country and Military rule might be imposed to bring the situation under control.

It seems like there is a slight change in the plan and the Professor might be the head of the interim government. PM Sheikh Hasina left the country in the middle of a crisis and a lot of things have to be addressed. For this Khan might be appointed as the interim government head. Let us wait for the official word on this.
