Can Former Solicitor General of India Grant Relief To Babu?
As the Former Solicitor General of India is in the picture and is aggressively placing his arguments, the focus is now on him to see what he can do.
Chandrababu Naidu faced the shock of his life in the form of an arrest. In his long career that lasted for a few decades, he was never arrested. While the arrest is a big shock, the efforts he has been making to get relief in this case are not enough and are falling short.
Supreme Court lawyer Sidharth Luthra who is dubbed as one of the costliest lawyers was also roped in. However, his arguments could not grant Chandrababu Naidu relief. The Telugu Desam Party chief is desperate to get bail in the case.
With the same, Former Solicitor General of India Harish Salve was also roped in. Now the focus is on the senior lawyer to see if he can get relief in the case or not. He is a celebrated lawyer and has a history of dealing with such cases.
The arguments have started in the case in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. Placing his arguments, Salve said that only a memo was given in the case and no permissions were sought under Section 17.
