Good News: H1B Visa Renewal Can Be Done In America
The authorities said that instead of coming to India to renew the H1B Visa they will be given the facility to renew the visa in America itself.
Big Brother America came up with a piece of good news for the immigrants who land there with work visas. Interestingly this decision will benefit the majority of the Indians. The new decision will make Indian tech experts living in America happy. The new change which will come into effect from December will be implemented as a pilot program. The authorities said that instead of coming to India to renew the H1B Visa they will be given the facility to renew the visa in America itself.
Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Visa Services Julie Stufft announced the big news. As part of this, visas of 20,000 people will be renewed initially. Experts say that this move will benefit the Indians mainly. H1B visa holders can renew their visas for three months starting from December without having to go to their native nations. Under the pilot program, 20,000 visa holders will be offered the service. Later the program will be expanded further Julie Stufft said.
However, the official notices were not issues yet. The authorities are expected to announce the rules and regulations, eligibility, process of applying, and others soon. Presently the service will be applied for the H1 B Visa holders only. As per the system which is followed up to now H1B Visa holders need not go to their countries to get the renewal stamping. But this was changed after 2004 and the visa holders should go to their countries.
The H1B Visa holders should have to go to their countries book a slot and come back to America only after getting the stamping. Due to the unavailability of the slots on time, the visa holders had to wait for a few months. Now a decision was made which says the holders need not face any issues and go to their nations to renew. Experts say that this will benefit the majority of Indians. What else can be happy news for the H1B Visa holders?
