High Court's Vacation Bench To Hear Chandrababu's Plea!
High Court adjourned the next hearing after Dasara given the holidays, Chandrababu Naidu's lawyers sought permission to move the case to the vacation bench.
The AP Skill Development Scam had increased the political heat in the state as former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was arrested and sent to remand. It's been close to 45 days since he was in prison. The ACB Court extended his remand by two more weeks today.
The case was another big development after the case was moved to the vacation bench. Earlier today, the interim bail petition Chandrababu Naidu filed came up for the hearing. While his lawyers placed the arguments saying that he should be given bail considering his health, the CID countered this.
After hearing the arguments of both sides, the High Court adjourned the next hearing after Dasara given the holidays, Chandrababu Naidu's lawyers sought permission to move the case to the vacation bench.
The High Court said yet to this and moved the case to the vacation bench. With this, Chandrababu Naidu need not wait for the festival to end to continue the efforts. Through his lawyers, he can continue the legal fight.
Though the petition was moved to the vacation bench, there is no clarity on the date when the plea will be heard. However, reports say that the plea might come up for the hearing before the next Thursday.
Earlier today, Chandrababu Naidu was produced before the ACB Court virtually as the remand comes to an end today. The Court extended the remand by two more weeks. When Chandrababu Naidu expressed concerns about his safety, the judge asked him to tell in writing the concerns he had.
