The ruling YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh is adamant about winning the elections. With eyes on big aim, the party leadership is not taking backstep from taking big decisions. As part of this, the party has been announcing the list of candidates and in-charges in a phased manner.

The party leadership is also using shifting the candidates to other seats from their sitting positions if required. MPs were given MLA tickets and the vice-versa. However, it is said that a few candidates have objections to changing their seats.

Minister Gummanur Jayaram is said to be among them. He was not given the ticket from the Aluru seat, which he was twice. He was announced as the MP candidate from the Kurnool city. The close circles say that he has a few objections to this.

Not happy with this, the Minister is said to be in exile. Even he is unreachable on the phone as well. He has a few doubts about whether he can pull off the win or not. With this, he is not in touch with the leadership. He won the Aluru seat twice and he reportedly thinks he might face troubles in the new seat.

On the other hand, the YCP leadership is trying to make him accept the offer and take up the fight. However, the Minister is hesitant to take up the MP elections and informed the same to leadership. The efforts seemed to be ineffective.

The Minister's followers met for a meeting recently and during the meet they are said to have opposed the decision to change the MLA to the MP segment. Expressing the concerns about possible defeat, they requested the leadership to think about this again.

One is that the Minister is reportedly hesitant to contest as the MP and his followers also have some concerns. With them being on common opinion we have to see what decision the leadership would take.
