YS Viveka Case: High Court Shocks YS Bhaskar Reddy!
However, YS Bhaskar Reddy faced a big blow when the High Court of Telangana dismissed his bail petition.
Without any doubt, the murder case of former MP YS Vivekananda Reddy, brother of late YSR is the much-talked-about case in not just Andhra Pradesh but in two Telugu states. The shocking incident happened back in 2019 and has been under investigation. The case was transferred to the Central body Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) in 2020.
It is known that Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy and his father YS Bhaskar Reddy are among the accused in the case. Bhaskar Reddy was arrested a few months back and he has been in jail since jail. The MP’s father is trying hard to get bail in the murder case.
However, YS Bhaskar Reddy faced a big blow when the High Court of Telangana dismissed his bail petition. Another accused in the case Uday Kumar Reddy also filed a petition. However, the High Court dismissed the two petitions. The single-judge bench of the court dismissed the petitions.
As per the media reports, counsels of both sides argued intently defending their respective sides. While the lawyers representing the accused are believed to have said that there is no evidence against this and despite this, they were arrested, CBI lawyers countered these arguments. On the other hand, the lawyers who appeared in the court on behalf of CBI countered these claims.
However, we have to see if the accused takes the issue to the notice of a bigger bench of the High Court and the Supreme Court. If the High Court won't give the required relief then there is a possibility of approaching the Apex Court. We have to wait and see what they will do.
The accused bail petition was canceled a day after the CBI filed a sensational bail seeking directives to cancel the anticipatory bail of MP YS Avinash Reddy. It is known that YS Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter Sunitha Reddy has been fighting against granting bail to YS Avinash Reddy.
As a shot in the arm effort, the CBI moved the Supreme Court with a petition, and the petition is slated for hearing on the 11th of this month. We have to wait and see what happens next.
