Change In Dynamics: Study Says Hindu Population Decreased!

The much-awaited Lok Sabha elections are underway. A hot debate is going on about the Muslim reservations in the country. While the ruling BJP has been saying that it would not give the reservations to Muslims and divert the same to the SC and ST, Congress and other parties are accusing BJP of manipulating the voters.
Amid this, the sensational data on the population based on religion has come out. The data says that the dynamics changed in the country and the Hindu population had come down. Between 1950 and 2015 the Hindu population had come down while the Muslim population increased.
It is said that the study conducted by the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister found the Hindu population had shrunk by around 8 percent. On the other hand, the population of Muslims and Christians saw a jump.
Hindus are the majority in the country. Between 1950 and 2015, the population saw a decrease of 7.81 percent. This is the first time the population of the community saw a dip, experts say.
Talking about Muslims, the population saw a big jump. The percentage increased and the share rose to 43.15 percent in the same time frame. The same is the case with Christians. At the same time, the population increased by 5.38 percent.
While it is a big shock that the dynamics changed in the country in a few decades, the think tank is yet to get the reasons for this. Reports say that despite gathering the details, it could not find the reasons behind the majority population coming down and the minority population increasing.
